Rayadas defeated Puebla Femenil 3-0 in Matchday 3 played this Sunday at Estadio Cuauhtémoc.
Las Rayadas started the match pushing high, looking for the goal and trying to open the scoreboard from the very first minutes.
Christina Burkenroad had the first clear opportunity of the match at minute 20, when she took a shot across the face of Puebla goalkeeper Karla Morales, but the ball went just wide of the goal.
Minutes later, Chinwendu Ihezuo took a powerful shot from outside the box, but the ball hit the base of the post and ended in a corner kick for Rayadas.
At minute 30, Chinwendu came close to opening the scoring once again. Yamile Franco set up the Rayadas forward with a high shot to the center of the box and Ihezuo connected with her right foot, but the ball went over the opponent's goal.
In the second half, Rayadas looked to open the scoring and it was Christina Burkenroad who scored the goals for Rayadas.

After a pass from Yamile Franco to Christina Burkenroad, Burkenroad volleyed a shot past the Puebla goalkeeper to open the scoring for the Rayadas.

Samantha Simental started a play on the left flank and passed the ball to Chinwendu, who assisted for Burkenroad to score her second goal of the match with a powerful left-footed shot.
With this brace, Christina has now scored twice in the same game on seven occasions.
After a foul on Abril Macias inside the box at minute 92, the referee called a penalty kick in favor of Rayadas, but Karla Morales saved Rebeca Bernal's shot.
Minutes later, the referee awarded another penalty kick, following a handball by Dulce Martinez.

With a powerful right-footed shot, Rebeca Bernal took the penalty kick and scored Rayadas' third goal.
Rayadas now has 7 points and is in third place in the overall standings.
