The Rayadas del Monterrey lost 1-0 against Kansas City Current of the NWSL, in an international friendly match played at Children's Mercy Park in the U.S. city.

The match was intense and with chances for both sides. However, it was the home side that managed to score.

At minute 35, Pamela Tajonar became the hero when she saved a powerful shot by Michelle Cooper with one hand.

The Rayadas started the second half attacking the Americans.

At minute 49, Carlee Giammona tried a powerful shot that the goalkeeper kept out of the corner of the net.

Four minutes later, Chinwendu Ihezuo hit the post for the home side. Close!

On a counterattack, Kristen Hamilton opened up for Chardonnay Curran, who, with an open goal, sent the ball into the back of Alejandría Godínez's net.

At minute 66, Alejandria Godinez made a spectacular diving save on a Kristen Hamilton shot.
