RAYADOS IS IN THE CONCACAF QUARTERFINALS!

With the support of the "albiazul" fans, Rayados are in the Quarterfinals!

Monterrey defeated Cincinnati FC 2-1 in the second leg of the Round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions Cup, thus advancing to the quarterfinals with a 3-1 aggregate score.

The team from Monterrey started the match attacking and looking to increase the aggregate score, and it was Luis Romo who opened the scoring.

The visitors also had moments of pressure, but Monterrey managed to level the score.

Brandon Vazquez had the first opportunity of the match when he headed a Stefan Medina cross at minute 5, but the ball went wide.

At minute 20, Stefan Medina headed a corner kick taken by "Corcho" Rodríguez, but the ball went just wide of goalkeeper Roman Celentano's goal.

Luis Romo came close to opening the scoring at minute 33 after taking a free kick taken by Jorge "Corcho" Rodríguez, but the ball went just past the post!

At minute 50, Esteban Andrada made two saves in a row, after complicated shots by Luciano Acosta and Corey Baird.

Minutes later, Sergio Canales shot with his left foot, after a great combination with Maxi Meza, but the ball went just wide of the opponent's goal.

Maxi Meza ran down the right flank and filtered for Brandon Vazquez, who, alone in front of goal, pushed the ball in for the winning goal.

With this result, Rayados remain undefeated in this 2024 and advanced to the Quarterfinals, where they will face Inter Miami FC.
