Rayadas of Monterrey defeated Diablos of Toluca 1-0 at Estadio BBVA, putting them in first place in the Clausura 2024 Tournament.
The team coached by Amelia Valverde began by attacking their opponents and the pressure resulted in an own goal in Monterrey's favor. Although they pushed forward in the second half, they were unable to extend their lead.

Merel van Dongen had to come off with a wrist injury at 32', and her place was taken by Diana Garcia.
In the second half, Rayadas looked to extend the lead, but were left with a 1-0 lead.
Valeria del Campo created danger with a shot from outside the area that went just wide of the opponent's goal at 57' and, a minute later, Fatima Servin emulated the Costa Rican.
At 67', Ana Lucia Martinez gave the ball to Diana Garcia, who dribbled past a defender and shot low into the hands of goalkeeper Kayla Thompson.
Two minutes later, Myra Delgadillo tried to surprise the goalkeeper with a shot that went just over the goal.
In stoppage time, Karol Bernal fired a shot that goalkeeper Kayla Thompson kept out of the bottom corner.
With this result, Rayadas now have 35 points and are in first place in the Clausura 2024 Tournament. On Monday, April 22, they will host San Luis at Estadio BBVA.
