In their permanent quest to grow and have a competitive team in every competition in which they participate, Rayados del Monterrey presents Óliver Torres as a new player with a contract until June 2027.
Óliver arrives at Monterrey after 5 years with Sevilla in Spain's La Liga, where he won two UEFA Europa League titles (in the 2019-2020 and 2022-2023 seasons).
The Spanish midfielder made his debut in 2012 with Atletico de Madrid, a team with which he won the Copa del Rey and the Spanish League Championship in his first year as a professional.
He also scored the fastest goal in the history of Atletico de Madrid, scoring after 13 seconds against Real Betis in his first game as a starter.
After going on loan for six months to Villarreal C.F. in 2014, he emigrated to F.C. Oporto, a club where, in his first season, he was chosen as the Revelation Player of the Portuguese First League.
He played more than 100 games in three seasons in the Portuguese team and became a fundamental player to achieve the Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup and the Primeira Liga championship in 2018.
Thanks to his great level shown from the youth categories of Atletico de Madrid, Oliver was constantly called up by the Spanish National Team in its different categories.
He won the Atlantic Cup with the U-18 National Team and the UEFA U-19 European Championship. In addition, he participated in the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013.
The player will travel in the coming days for medical examinations in the city of Monterrey.
Óliver will be reunited at Rayados with Jesus"Tecatito" Corona, who was his teammate at Sevilla and Porto, and with Sergio Canales, whom he faced in La Liga.
The Spanish player will have his first games with Monterrey in the Apertura 2024 Liga BBVA MX and Leagues Cup 2024 tournaments.
Welcome, Oliver!
