Rayados goes all out for their second Leagues Cup!

Monterrey makes its debut in the Leagues Cup 2024 this Tuesday, July 30, at 7:00 p.m., when it faces Austin FC at Q2 Stadium in the Texas capital.

This will be the first time Rayados will face Austin FC, however, it will not be the first time they will play in their stadium.

Monterrey drew against River Plate and defeated Club America in warm-up matches at this venue.

In the Leagues Cup 2023, Rayados were the Mexican team that went the farthest in the competition, playing in the match for Third Place.

On that occasion, they defeated Real Salt Lake, Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers and LAFC, from MLS; they also beat Club Tigres, from Liga BBVA MX.

German Berterame, albiazul forward, was the fourth best scorer of the tournament, with 5 points, tied with the now Monterrey forward, Brandon Vazquez, who played for Cincinnati FC.

Now, the albiazules will be looking to start off on the right foot on their way to the championship.
