Gerardo Arteaga joined Rayados to add quality, defensive strength, and speed in attack after his time with KRC Genk in Belgium.
Among his achievements, Arteaga won the Liga BBVA MX Clausura 2018 title with Santos, the Belgian Cup in 2021 with KRC Genk, and the Gold Cup in 2023 with the Mexican National Team.
During his time in Europe, he competed in the Conference League, Europa League, and Champions League, which earned him a call-up to the Mexican National Team.
Eventually, Gerardo was selected as part of the squad that competed in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
