The Spanish midfielder made his debut in 2012 with Atlético de Madrid, where he won the Copa del Rey and the La Liga championship in his first year as a professional.
After spending six months on loan at Villarreal C.F. in 2014, he moved to F.C. Porto, where, in his first season, he was named the Primeira Liga's Breakthrough Player of the Year. He also won the Supercopa Cândido de Oliveira and the Primeira Liga championship in 2018.
Óliver was consistently called up to Spain’s various national teams, winning the Atlantic Cup with the U-18 team and the UEFA U-19 European Championship. He also participated in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
The Spanish player joined Monterrey with the goal of helping the team achieve its objectives in Liga BBVA MX, the Leagues Cup, the CONCACAF Champions Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
