Lucía made her First Division debut at just 15 years old with Oviedo Moderno in the Spanish League. After her impressive performances, Athletic Club Femenino signed her as a reinforcement in 2016.
By 2022, she joined Manchester United, where she has played in the Barclays Women’s Super League, the FA Women’s League Cup, the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and won the Women’s FA Cup title in the 2023-2024 season.
With the Spanish National Team, Lucía won the UEFA Women’s Nations League 2023-2024 and the Cyprus Cup in 2018, and she also participated in the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019.
Additionally, at the youth level, she won the UEFA European Championship in the U-17 category in 2005 and in the U-19 category in 2017, as well as finishing as runner-up in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup France 2018.
The Spanish footballer arrived at Monterrey to help take the team to the highest level. Alongside her teammates, she secured the back-to-back Liga BBVA MX Femenil titles, becoming part of the history of Club de Futbol Monterrey as the institution’s first-ever back-to-back league champion.
