WELCOME BACK HOME, "TECATITO"!

01 de September de 2023. 6:53 pm.

We inform our fans and the media that we have reached an agreement with Sevilla FC to finalize the definitive transfer of player Jesús "Tecatito" Corona.

The 30-year-old Mexican striker began his soccer career in the youth academy from Club de Futbol Monterrey and made his debut in the first team in 2010, at the age of 17.

In his career with Rayados, "Tecatito" contributed to achieving  the victory in the league at the Apertura 2010 and the three-time CONCACAF Champions League championship between 2011 and 2013.

After the tri-championship, he migrated to Europe in 2013, where he has had an outstanding international career that includes the clubs of Twente at Netherlands; Porto at Portugal; and Sevilla at Spain.

In Twente, he was selected as part of the Best XI of the 2014-2015 season of the Eredivisie, the highest category of Dutch soccer.

In 2015, Jesús migrated to Porto of Portugal, where he won three Primeira Liga titles, two Cups and two Super Cups, and was chosen Best Player of the 2019-2020 season.

His time in Europe continued at Sevilla, Spain, with whom he won the Europa League in 2022-2023.

Thanks to his good performances, he is constantly called up to the Mexican National Team, where he won the Copa Oro 2015, in addition to having participated in the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018.
