Rayadas tied 1-1 with Tijuana Femenil in Matchday 9 of the Apertura 2023 played at the Estadio Caliente.

Both teams fought hard throughout the match and, in the end, shared the points.

Christina Burkenroad had a dangerous play at minute 24, when she received a pass from Jermaine Seoposenwe, but goalkeeper Alejandra Gutiérrez saved and cut off the Rayadas' attack. 

Myra Delgadillo sent in a dangerous cross at minute 39 and, just as Diana Evangelista was preparing to connect, Michel Fong deflected the ball.

In the second half, Eva Espejo's team looked for the win and, despite taking the lead with a goal by Burkenroad, Tijuana tied the game.

Valeria Valdez took a short corner kick to Nicole Perez, who crossed. Valeria del Campo connected and Christina Burkenroad shot into the goal. After the goalkeeper's rebound, Burkenroad scored.

Daniela Espinosa headed in a free kick taken by Myra Pelayo and a series of rebounds led to Angelina Hix's end to tie the match.

Bianca Mora received a red card after a hard tackle on Jermaine Seoposenwe at minute 69. 

Minutes later, Myra Delgadillo came close to giving the Rayadas the lead when, after a good combination with Samantha Simental, she shot, but the ball hit the outside of the goal.

With this result, the Rayadas now have 16 points and remain in fifth place in the season standings.

On Sunday 10th, at 6:06 p.m., the Rayadas will visit Club Santos Femenil at the Estadio TSM.
