Rayadas Monterrey renew their objectives for the 2024 Clausura Tournament and, with the intention of strengthening the squad, they integrated Amelia Valverde as the new technical director.
Amelia is an outstanding Costa Rican coach who has extensive experience. Since 2011 she began her career on the bench, with the Flores de Heredia team of Costa Rica.
Later, she came to the Costa Rican Soccer Federation as a technical assistant for the Women's National Team and, in 2015, she became the technical director of the Ticos.
She led the Costa Rican team in the 2015 Canada Women's World Cup, and from there she achieved significant goals and achievements.
With his country's team, she won the Gold Medal at the Nicaragua 2017 Central American Games, the Silver Medal at the Barranquilla 2018 Central American Games and the Bronze Medal at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
Amelia already knows Estadio BBVA, since the Costa Rica National Team played in our Casa Rayada and achieved Fourth Place in the Concacaf W Championship, with which they qualified for the Australia-New Zealand 2023 Women's World Cup.
As a soccer player, Valverde played for the Flores de Heredia and Saprissa teams, in addition to participating in the New Zealand 2008 U-17 Women's World Cup.
Amelia comes to Rayadas with the objective of contributing to the growth of women's soccer in the Institution and obtaining maximum achievements in the Liga BBVA MX Femenil.
