Monterrey's Rayados visit Lower.com Field this Wednesday, April 24, at 6:15 p.m. for the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Semifinal against Columbus Crew.
Rayados comes into the match as the only undefeated team in the tournament. They also have 10 consecutive wins in CONCACAF club competitions, and are on a 17-match unbeaten streak in the confederation's top club tournament.
In the 2021 edition, the albiazul team faced Columbus Crew in the Quarterfinals.
In the first leg, played in Columbus, they drew 2-2 and won 3-0 at Estadio BBVA, advancing to the next phase and ultimately winning their fifth CONCACAF title.
Brandon Vazquez leads Monterrey's forwards with four goals scored in this tournament, while Maxi Meza leads the assists section with five.
Columbus Crew are the current MLS champions and boast a 10-game unbeaten streak at Lower.com Field, so Monterrey will be looking to break this unbeaten streak.
The Monterrey team has never lost an elimination series against a U.S. team in CONCACAF club competitions, and will be looking to keep that streak alive.
The support of the "albiazul" fans will be essential to achieve victory and a place in the Big Final of the competition.
