RAYADAS ACHIEVES 7 WINS AND STAYS UNDEFEATED!

With a brace from Jermaine Seoposenwe and one more from Nicole Perez, Rayadas defeated Gallos Femenil 3-1 at the Estadio Olimpico Alameda, in Queretaro, as part of Matchday 8 of the Apertura 2024 Tournament.

With this result, Monterrey reaffirmed its undefeated record in the tournament, with 7 matches without defeat.

The regias started the match attacking, and were able to reflect this on the scoreboard from the very first minutes.

After a series of rebounds inside the box, Jermaine Seoposenwe fired in a right-footed shot to open the scoring in Queretaro.

Ana Lucia Martinez sent in a delayed cross for Jermaine Seoposenwe, who shot from the edge of the box and scored to give Monterrey their second.

At minute 39, Jermaine looked for his hat-trick, but Claudia Lozoya, a former Rayadas player and current goalkeeper for Queretaro, prevented the goal.

The team coached by Amelia Valverde sought to extend the lead in the second half, and succeeded in doing so through Nicole Perez.

With Pamela Tajonar on the line, Solange Lemos shot towards the goal, but Juana Plata made a great defensive sweep to prevent the Queretaro player from scoring.

With a powerful shot from outside the box, Nicole Perez scored Monterrey's third.

At minute 78, Lizette Rodriguez was fouled inside the box and the referee awarded a penalty kick.

Alondra Camargo took the spot kick in the 80th minute and sent the ball over the goal.

With a powerful right-footed shot, Wendis Cabrera scored the stoppage time goal.

Rayadas reached 21 points and remains in third place in the overall standings.

This Thursday, September 5, at 8:00 p.m., Monterrey will host Frazsiers Whip, from Jamaica, in Matchday 2 of the CONCACAF W Champions Cup.

This match will mark Rayadas' debut in the Estadio BBVA in this international tournament.
