Club de Futbol Monterrey informs fans and the media that French striker Anthony Martial is joining Rayados de Monterrey on a permanent transfer with a contract until 2027, with an option for an additional year.

Martial, who was born in Massy, France, and made his professional debut at the age of 17 with Olympique Lyon in 2013, is one of the most recognized forwards of his generation in France.

Anthony continued his development at AS Monaco in 2013, where he played 70 games and scored 15 goals, establishing himself as one of the great promises of European soccer. On that team, he played alongside Lucas Ocampos, currently a Rayados player.

His qualities, such as speed, individual technique, and versatility as a forward, led him to Manchester United in England in 2015, one of the most important clubs in the world, where he played 317 games, scored 90 goals, and won titles such as the UEFA Europa League (2016-17), the FA Cup (2015-2016 and 2023-24), the EFL Cup (2016-2017 and 2022-23), and the FA Community Shield (2016).

With Manchester United, he was awarded the Golden Boy prize in 2015, which recognizes the best young footballer in Europe, joining a historic list of world stars such as Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi, Cesc Fábregas, Sergio Agüero, Mario Götze, Paul Pogba, Kilian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, and Lamine Yamal, among others.

He was loaned to Sevilla FC in Spain in 2022, where he played in 12 LaLiga and Europa League matches, and later continued his career in Greece with AEK Athens, where he played 24 matches, scored 9 goals, and had two assists during the 2024-2025 season.

He has played for France's youth teams, participating in the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-21 teams. He won the Euro U-16 in 2013.

With the French senior team, he has played 30 games and scored two goals. He was UEFA Nations League champion in 2020-21 and runner-up in Euro 2016.

Anthony, who will be the first French player in the club's history, arrives at Rayados with extensive experience in Europe's top leagues and a great ability to make a difference in the blue-and-white attack.
